The solenoid valve is responsible for a faster movement of the rams by sending high pressure fluid to the rear height control valves and forcing the fast height control plunger to open further letting fluid run faster. It is activated electronically by the door opening (earlier models) and by putting the gearbox in either P or N.

Any other position of the gearbox will block the flow of the solenoid to the height control valve forcing the fluid to return. The plunger of the height control valve remains shut and the ram operates slower.

The part number for the solenoid is UD17357 and you can order it here.

We also have an overhaul kit UD17357KIT available here.
