The Silver Wraith was the first post-war 4-door luxury car from Rolls-Royce. Their first offer for this model was in 1946, the production carry on till 1959. A new design produced to be bodied by independent coach builders as had been the tradition prior to World War II.
It may have seemed slightly strange that both the Rolls Royce Silver Wraith and the Silver Dawn were also offered to independent coach builders for special bodywork. This may well have been as a result of the huge demand for the highly desirable standard steel car which caused the factory supply problems.
Total Production: 1,783
The Silver Dawn was offered until 1955, a 4-door full size luxury car with sedan body style. Within a couple of years the Rolls Royce Silver Dawn Standard Steel Sports Saloon was introduced as a result of public demand for a standard steel bodied Rolls Royce. This car closely resembled the Bentley Mark VI differing only by the replacement of the Bentley grille for the Rolls Royce front grille.
Total Production: 760
The Phantom IV was offered until 1955, a 4-door full size luxury car with sedan body style. Introduced in 1946, and delivered strictly to heads of states and members of ruling Royal families limited the production to a mere 18 cars.
Total Production: 18
