The main job of the rams is to lift up or down in order to maintain the car at the right height when passengers get in or out as well as heavy luggage put in the vehicle. There is one ram per rear spring, on early cars there were also mounted on the front springs but were taken off from chassis number 7404 onward. The rams are fitted on the spring holding bracket with a nut. Inside it a piston moves up and down, when high pressure fluid runs into the piston, it makes it push down and lift the car. The ram is fitted with two pipes, a high pressure fluid pipe and a bleeding one. The rear rams are put on motion by the high pressure fluid sent from the rear height control valves.

The ram part number is UR15502 and we can get you a reconditioned one or a brand Prestige Parts one here.
