PRESSURE LIMITING VALVE

The pressure limiting valve works as  a ABS system, preventing the lock of the wheels to avoid the car from skidding. Is located next to the master cylinder inside the actuation box. It works by shutting off the flow of hydraulic fluid heading towards the upper set of pistons on the rear calipers during emergency stops. Inside the pressure limiting valve there is a steel ball being hold down by gravity. Once the brakes are put in function it will force the steel ball to move forward cutting off one of the brake pipes, stopping two of he four pistons in the rear caliper to no longer be active reducing the braking power. This valve is present in later models like Silver Spur and Silver Spirit.

For all vehicles before 50,000 chassis number (not mineral oil), the pressure limiting valve part number is UR15984 and you can find it here.

We also have a service kit for the pressure limiting valve CD4820 here.

For vehicles with chassis number 50,000 onward (mineral oil), the pressure limiting valve part number GMF1033, available here.

We also have a service kit for this valve under the part number CD6223GMF, here.
