IntroCar COVID-19 Response (Updated 2nd November)

The UK government has announced a new national lockdown commencing Thursday 5th of November, ostensibly for four weeks. Warehouse and distribution businesses, which are not generally retail facing, are able to continue operating. IntroCar will remain open for business as usual.

Of utmost importance is the health and well-being of our staff, customers, and suppliers, and we wish to ensure that everyone is safe. For this reason we are asking that customers do not attend the premises except to collect pre-orders, which will be made available in a Covid-safe manner. Should you wish to collect, we will ask you to remain in our car park and telephone our main number (0208 546 2027), and your order will be brought to you (with a smile!). If you can tell us your sales order number that will help.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic we have been careful to implement policies and practices that facilitate safety and also protect service levels. For those who need to be working on site, we are adopting social distancing and additional safety measures but order fulfillment operations are functioning normally. We have been able, through the good offices of our well-motivated staff, to avoid almost all delays and we will keep you advised on any amendments to the expected time of dispatch.

Couriers are operating as normal. Our usual international courier partners are DHL, and they have made some price increases to cover additional costs caused by the lack of access to passenger networks. They are now operating using their own planes or other commercial flights. We note that this has altered some routes and may cause longer than normal transit times. Our couriers are still collecting daily & delivering from any business address that is open.

Throughout 2020, the normal postal service has been a little delayed, so we recommend upgrading to special delivery (UK customers) or using a traceable DHL service for the rest of the world.

Orders may be placed in the usual manner but using email or placing orders online is helpful if you can possibly do so via our website. Should you call and be unable to speak to the salesman, please leave a message as instructed and you will receive a call back very quickly.
