Crankshaft Oil Seals
Most Silver Shadow & T-Type models do not have Crankshaft Oils Seals, although the last of the Silver Shadow II & T2 models had them fitted as standard. Instead, most cars were fitted with oil "throwers" - a spiral thread designed to throw the oil back into the engine. These can be removed and cleaned to prevent excessive oil leaking from the engine, although some oil leakage is inevitable with this design.
